I do not no know much about Floridas requirments, but I live in Orlando and i was told that to become a municipality paid or county paid FF you need to have Firefighter 1 and 2 I only have 1 done and i took that in NY. I would start running daily get your endurance up.
I would also take some other classes like EVOCS, High angle rope rescue RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) training and maybe some others build up a good reume and keep your nose clean and driving record clean.

few other questions: is the state test difficult and is it hard to apply for a job as a Fire Fighter once I am done? Is there health/height/weight requirements?

    thank you for your time.

In New York(upstate, not the city) you take a civil service exam, and then you’re sent to the academy, from there on out you take an EMT course and then you are considered a firefighter. This guy’s route seems very simiar to the boat I’m in, except I need to take the exam.
