    @randomrazr You …
    @randomrazr You might find it quicker and easier to uninstall any apps you don’t want, than to start all over. Starting all over could bring unexpected results too.

    yeah,my hp computer came with 1gb of ram for windows xp, which was pretty decent at the time.

    whats pushing me away is the fact that RAM costs around 50 dollars for 1gb, but u are right that is an option

    my theory was if i reset, their are many programs that id prob wont reinstall, and only install the ones i use on a daily bases (itunes, firefox, and hp software like photosmart essentials)

    my 2 concerns are, how will i sync my iphone back and how long to install windows updates lol

    @randomrazr Sounds …
    @randomrazr Sounds like you’ve done the main things then. If I were you, I’d upgrade my RAM. More memory always speeds things up. Personally, I’m leery of rolling back after 4 years of software installs. That’s a lot to have to reinstall, and like I said, it’s possible the things you reinstall are what is making it slow to begin with.

    @randomrazr I think …
    @randomrazr I think you are right that it will take sometime to re-install the updates, and then there is no guarantee that you won’t reinstall the software that is likely making your PC run slower now than it did when you bought it. There are things you can do to improve PC performance that may help more than recovering your PC. Try searching hp . com for “Increasing System Resources”.

    i want to perform a system recovery to bring back the speed it had when it was NEW

    im not concerned about backing up stuff

    but im concerned about reinstalling 4 years worth of windows xp updates like security ones or service pack 3

    what do u think?
