I have researched the various furniture stores in the Houston, Texas area and Rooms To Go and Ashley Furniture had furniture I liked for prices I could afford. However, even though BBB gives the stores fairly good ratings, consumer reviews are not good. The BBB is not reporting any complaints against Star Furniture but the store prices are a little beyond my budget as is the case with Gallery. Any suggestions would be a great help?
We found The Room Store to be pretty good. We bought a table elsewhere and then found it for WAY less at The Room Store, so we bought our leather couches there.

If you’re not succesful with your findings, try online stores usually they ship all over the states.
Homelement.com and they do have free standard shipping promotion.

You might also want to consider having a piece of furniture made by a furniture-maker in Texas.
Check out http://www.custommade.com and do a search by location to find artisans/woodworkers in that area.
