How do you imagine your ideal home theatre system?

How do you imagine your ideal Home theatre system and
what will it do for you? What features will it have?

My home theater setup would have an 18 channel setup consisting of API (particularly Mirage) speakers. with a center, front right, left right, top front right, top front left, top front center, two side rights, two side lefts, one center back, one left back, one right back, one top center, one top right, one top left, and a front and back subwoofer. It would be pointless to have a setup like this, seeing that nobody has 18 channel movie support yet. However, it would be cool to have anyway. I want mirage speakers because their omnipolar technology is very cool. They have such a great sound dispersion that the speakers practically disappear! I am sure that there are better speakers out there, but I am very accustomed to their sound! The screen would be a 50" plasma, or possibly a very nice projector with dlp technology. There won’t be strong acoustic dampening since the omipolar speakers rely on room reflections to get their great sound.

My ideal home theater system is more about quality than quantity. I’m not interested in the 6.1 or 7.1 set-ups. I don’t see the need for that many speakers. However, clarity, musicality, and visceral realism are what is important to me. The following system provides a breathtaking experience (whether it be cinema or music) without being obtrusive, cluttered, or complicated. A completely well matched, well balanced system.

    The System…

HDTV: Sony KDL-V40XBR1 40" BRAVIA XBR LCD Flat Panel HDTV

MAINS: Silverline Audio SR15 minimonitors in Rosewood
CENTER: Silverline Audio Center Stage center channel in Rosewood
SURROUNDS: Silverline Audio SR15 minimonitors in Rosewood
TWO POWERED SUBWOOFERS: Hsu Research VTF-3 MK 2 in Rosewood

FOUR SPEAKER STANDS: Dayton SSHM-24 high mass 24" adjustable

MULTI-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER: Arcam P7 in Silver
    PREAMP/PROCESSOR: Arcam AV9 in Silver
DVD PLAYER: Arcam DV29 in Silver

CABLES: DH Labs and MUSIC Timbre

AC POWERLINE CONDITIONER: Audience Adapt Response

I have been in the business for 20 years and Yamaha has impressed me with its Digital Sound projectors. It is the speakers and amp in one box, and it even sets itself up to give you the sound the room should have. Best of all, no speaker wires to run or stands or mounts all over the place and H/U is a breeze.

    Lets see:

Denon 4806 receiver (or higher for that matter)
    Denon DVD 5910
    Two NHT IC4′s
    Two NHT IW3′s
    Three NHT M6′s
    A Velodyne HGS 15
    A Denon U1 subwoofer system
    seven NHT A1 amplifiers
Top this off with a 58 inch Panasonic TH-58PX600U Plasma TV
Enough high quality cables to go around and perhaps some recesed home theater lighting, some IR cables so I can hide my components in the closet, a Universal Remote MX-900 controller and I cant even begin to imagine the furniture.
